For this week’s fan, we headed north to the land of cheese. And, by looking at her picture, it appears that’s exactly what she said when it was taken. We didn’t go with the cheese theme because it’s Wisconsin; that would have been cheesy. We went with it because we can’t pronounce the name of her town.
Name: April Smith

Occupation: Radiology Clerk at Red Cedar Medical Center
How long have you been following racing: Six years
How did you get started: I started by watching racing with friends.
Who was your first favorite driver, and why: Dale Jr. because I was first drawn to him because it was cool to see a father and son racing together.
Who is your favorite now, and why: Dale Jr. because I like everything about him; and he is a heck of a racer. He sure handles what God has given him very well.
What is your favorite driver’s racing moment: When he won the Daytona 500
How many races do you attend a year: I get to one a year.
Best race you ever saw on TV or in person: Daytona 500
What is your favorite track for racing: Talladega
If your favorite driver came to your town, where would take him and what would you do: I would show him our local race track and then have dinner and hang out!
If you worked at DEI, what would you like to do: Something at the race track during the race, for example, some statistical work. I seem to think I am a problem solver.
If you ran NASCAR for a day, what rule would you change, add or delete: I would add some program that would allow a select amount of fans each race to have garage passes so they could see work up close and personal. (with restrictions). That is not possible for the normal average fan now, but it would sure be priceless.
