This week, we headed out West to city that never sleeps – Las Vegas. If you can’t find anything to do there, then you better check your pulse. This week’s fan is not only into racing, she works in it, as well. And, you can’t blame her for asking the personal favor she does in her last answer.
Name: Erica Edwards
From: Las Vegas, Nevada
Age: 22
Occupation: Customer Service Rep at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
How long have you been following racing: I have been following racing since Dale Jr was driving the AC Delco car in the Busch Series.
Who was your first favorite driver, and why: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. because he always seems like a normal guy.
Who is your favorite now, and why: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. because even after fame, he still seems like a sincere person. Kind of like someone you could hang with and enjoy yourself.
What is your favorite driver’s best racing moment: The Pepsi 400 in 2001 when Dale Jr won because it was a very meaningful moment in his career.
How many races do you attend a year: I attend three races a year - Las Vegas, Fontana and Phoenix.
Best race you ever saw on TV or in person: It was the Phoenix race in November 2004 when Dale Jr.; I was there in person.
What is your favorite track for racing: My favorite tracks are Bristol and Talladega.
If your favorite driver came to your town, where would take him and what would you do: I would take him to Islands (Hawaiian Food) to have a quiet lunch then I would take him to Redrock Canyon to see the beautiful Las Vegas scenery. And last, but not least, I would take him to PURE nightclub here in Vegas to relax and hang out.
If you worked at DEI, what would you like to do: If there was an opportunity, I would love to run errands for the No. 8 team.
If you ran NASCAR for a day, what rule would you change, add or delete:
I would take out the green, white and checkered flag for the finish because I do not agree with having two or three laps determine the outcome of a race. And just a personal wish, maybe adding a second race in Vegas would be nice!
