This week, we have a great picture to go along with our Fan of the Week. And, it’s pretty special as to how the picture came to be, as well.
We headed down to the beautiful shores of Florida for this week’s edition. Let’s see – retired, living on the Gulf of Mexico, get to watch all the racing you want because you don’t work, which means you get to attend all the races you want because you’re retired.

How did you get started: My husband and sons are big fans and if I wanted to spend time with them on the weekends; I had to watch the Busch and Cup races with them.
Who was your first favorite driver, and why: Darrell Waltrip because everyone else I lived with liked Dale Earnhardt.
Tell us about the picture: When my husband retired from law enforcement after 25 years, I wanted to give him a gift no one else could have. Dale was gracious enough to provide that and took the time to meet us.
Who is your favorite now, and why: Dale Jr., because he worked on my car at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet and is a great driver.
What is your favorite driver’s best racing moment: Dale Jr’s win at Daytona in July of 2001
How many races do you attend a year: 10 (see, we told you she had the life)
Best race you ever saw on TV or in person: Dale’s come from behind win at Talladega in 2000.
What is your favorite track for racing: Lowe’s Motor Speedway
If your favorite driver came to your town, where would take him and what would you do: I would take him to Siesta Key Beach (voted one of the USA’s most beautiful beaches) and let him enjoy the scenery (both natural and human) and then let him do whatever he wanted.

If you ran NASCAR for a day, what rule would you change, add or delete: I would like to see the rules more consistently enforced for everyone.
