This edition of Fan of the Week has two firsts on his list that made him stick out. First, he has to have the largest collection of Earnhardt items I’ve seen in a long time. In looking at his picture, I don’t see a diecast he doesn’t have from the Earnhardt collection.
Secondly, when asked what he’d like to do if we put him to work here at DEI he gave a first-time answer. Of course, we’d need to sample a few of them dishes before he gets to do what he’d like.

How long have you been following racing: Since I began going to local race tracks here in Pennsylvania around 1955.
How did you get started: I just loved to see cars go fast, and when I got my drivers license - I did the same.
Who was your first favorite driver, and why: Harry Gant, but I have no idea why. I think it was just because he was Harry; a plain and simple guy.
Who is your favorite now, and why: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Why?? Because he is an Earnhardt, that's why.
What is your favorite driver’s best racing moment: The race in 2000 at Talladega when Dale went from 18th to first in four laps to win the race.
How many races do you attend a year: It’s too expensive now so I watch at home on my 57-inch TV.
Best race you ever saw on TV or in person: In person was when Dale won at Pocono in 1993 and done the Polish Victory lap holding Davy Allison's flag out the window.
What is your favorite track for racing: Bristol
If your favorite driver came to your town, where would take him and what would you do: We’d head to Texas Roadhouse to eat and then to the sprint car race at Port Royal Speedway.
If you worked at DEI, what would you like to do: I like to cook and I bet they have an awesome kitchen at DEI. I’d make those boys and ladies some good Yankee cooking.
If you ran NASCAR for a day, what rule would you change, add or delete: Any Cupper who won a Busch Race would get NO points; points would go to first FULL-TIME Busch driver.
