This week’s fan comes to us from the Land of 1000 Lakes and, by looking at her picture, appears to have won a race.
Name: Jenn Prybylla
From: Mankato, MN
Age: 36
Occupation: Office Manager, National Hearing Centers
How long have you been following racing: About 10 years ago, but I became a dedicated follower the last five years
How did you get started: I came across a race on TV about 10 years ago and couldn't turn it off.
Who was your favorite driver and why: Jeff Gordon because he was a fresh face
Who is your favorite now and why: Dale Jr because racing is fun for him and he drives like it is his last race and he’s retiring every time.
What is your favorite driver's racing moment: Daytona, July 2001, Pepsi 400 when
Dale Jr won. Dale Jr and Mikey stood on Mikey's car hugging with the teams surrounding the cars. I am in tears as I write this now, tears come to my eyes just thinking of that moment.
How many races do you attend a year: I have been to two so far. Rockingham,
November 2003 and Michigan, August 2005. I will also be in Kansas this October.
Best race you ever saw on TV or in person: Daytona 500, 2004
What is your favorite track for racing: Talladega
If your favorite driver came to town, where would you take him and what would you do: It would depend on the time of year. Summer months would be one of the area lakes for any water activities or a friend’s farm for some four wheeling. Winter months we would go someplace warm, unless he was into outdoor winter activities such as snowmobiling.
If you worked at DEI, what would you like to do: Any office administrative duties would be fine with me.
If you ran NASCAR for a day, what rule would you change, add or delete: I would tweak the impound weekend rule. The drivers and teams are still at the track the same amount of time as they were before the impound rule. That rule should have eliminated a day.
