Just like the legend they so admire, Dale Earnhardt fans have moved fast to be part of history, joining with The Hershey Company to help raise funds for the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.
Hershey has debuted a series of collectible bars honoring the racing legend and given fans the opportunity to personally join a permanent tribute to “The Intimidator” while raising funds for charity. By logging on to www.hersheys.com/dale, fans can make a donation to The Dale Earnhardt Foundation and upload a photo for inclusion in a picture mosaic – a replica of which will be unveiled on April 29, during Dale Earnhardt Day in Mooresville, N.C. Already, nearly 1,000 fans have posted their name, photo and/or message to the site.
Dale Earnhardt fans from across the country have been joined by actress Carmen Electra and Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI) drivers Mark Martin and Martin Truex Jr., who recently posted their image and message to the site. With less than one month until Dale Earnhardt Day, fans still have time to join these stars and show their support.
“As you might expect, Dale Earnhardt’s loyal fans jumped at the chance to salute Dale and give something back to organizations and causes that he supported through The Dale Earnhardt Foundation,” said Dick Baker, executive director, The Dale Earnhardt Foundation. “Fans are showing their dedication and excitement by posting pictures of themselves, friends and family members celebrating Dale’s legacy.”
