Celebrity Guests Promote NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race

May 10, 2013—To help promote the upcoming NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday, May 18, Taylor Earnhardt-Putnam, professional barrel racing competitor and daughter of seven-time NASCAR Champion Dale Earnhardt, made a special guest appearance at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Day yesterday, fresh from her win at the “Saddle Up for CF” rodeo, in Yadkinville, NC.

In advance of the upcoming NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race event, members of the media were invited to Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 9 to indulge in a staged western-themed rodeo led by none-other than equestrian champion, Taylor Earnhardt-Putnam.

Other celebrity guests included World Champion bull rider Jerome Davis, CMS President Marcus Smith, Fox Sports & SPEED analyst Jeff Hammond, NSCS driver Ricky Stenhouse and noted motorsports artist Sam Bass. Members of the media were given the opportunity to compete in several Wild West activities such as roping, bull riding and barrel racing against each other—and the participating drivers for bragging rights.

The stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are set to battle on stock car racing’s all-star night on May 18 at Charlotte Motor Speedway at 7:30pm. Country music star, Josh Turner, will also be in attendance to perform before the green flag.
